I bumped into Sam Elliott in John's courtyard in Malibu in summer of 2004. We had a good chat and he mentioned how fond he was of the movie "Conagher". It is one my all time favorites as well and that encounter inspired a quest to find an artist I could work with to produce an original oil of that unique cowboy character. So it was when I met Romona Wilcox in early 2005 and that the project took shape. She is very talented and full of energy. We collaborated and debuted the 30" x 40" original oil on canvas at the PBR World Finals in the Mandalay Bay Resort, Las Vegas in October of that year. The rest is fine art history in the making and you can be part of it. The shipping is on us. Enjoy!
